First ring efforts in jewelry

The silver ring was from my Beginning Jewelry class at ASU - first thing we did was a copper wire wrapped ring which of course I’ve already managed to lose. Could not have gone far- I put it on top of my jewelry box and now it’s vanished but I’ll post a picture when it shows up. Then we did the silver one. I of course have managed to not get a good picture of it, but I’ll take another one when I find the copper one and update.
I didn’t do the wrapping right, although it actually does look kind of okay. I did do the copper one right which is why I need to get a picture. I found it REALLY difficult, just because I can’t watch someone do something and then do it myself. And I am a little dyslexic when it comes to left/right/up/down. I did little kinks in it because it was a bit big. This is actual silver wire, very pricey compared to copper, which is why we practiced on copper. The other ring I did myself later, and I got the wrapping right on it. I think. Also did the cool little spiraly thing on it. I used very cheap Michael’s wire - shiny weird wire that has a bit of color to it- not just plain silver. The wire we used in class was Dead Soft (a name that really amuses me- dead amuses me) and you pound it with a rubber hammer. I pounded this wire too although it isn’t dead soft.
You can see both rings pretty well in this one.
I really like the one I did on my own. I do need to practice, though. It was lots of fun so don’t think that will be a problem. I looked up wire ring making online and although I couldn’t find this exact wrap, I did find a lot more that looked really cool and not too difficult. I think I love wire now!
I do need to get the wires more even. The Michael’s wire was pretty stiff.
The pictures are all with my phone, on a file folder as a background. I’ll take better ones with the real camera later- I just want to document my experiments.
