I determined that my Master Shower has fallen victim to the frigid temperatures. One degree Theometer readings do not prevent frozen pipes but rather fosters them. Yesterday I found that the shower in the Master bedroom was frozen both for hot and cold water. I told my son and he called the builder who hurried over to the house. We shut off all water into the house. The plumber is supposed to come over later today and thaw the pipe in the hope it has not split yet. I do not need any leaking pipes in my walls.
Temps here are in the low teens during the day and 1-5% at night and no relief until late week. Even once I have the pipes thawed they are still liable to refreeze.
I is so good to have my son and daughter-in-law so close. I slept there last night after my meeting. It was warm, comfortable and just right. Their dog greeted me warmly and the only hold out was Tory, my old cat.
I talked to Doris who invited me to stay at her apartment and the offer was tempting. However, my DIL is a better cook.
Though she denies it, Doris snores..
