Well it has finally arrived. The white stuff. Not sure when it started but it was after 10pm last night. I was impressed that I slept till 5:30 this morning and once I padded to the bathroom I decided to look out my window. Yep, sure enough white stuff on the ground. Couldn’t tell how much but the never ending winter storm warning finally had developed. Apparently there was freezing rain first, and 1/2” has been said on radio station that I listen to. It is still snowing but they look very fine and not big and fluffy right now. I will probably use the leaf blower a bit later and see if it can blow some of it off the concrete pad that leads into the garage. Will shovel if I have/need to. Don’t want to and the Lord knows my back doesn’t want to, but you do what you gotta do. So not sure how much we will get but it is our first substantial snow of the winter.

Mixed up some baking powder biscuits for breakfast this AM. Just seemed to go with the snow outside. Also made some gravy to go over a couple of the biscuits and now I’m no longer hungry. Pray my sometimes milk intolerance is dormant and so far so good.

Have my sheets and pillowcases in the washer with some bleach and they should be back on my bed in a couple of hours. Have a small load of my whites to do after the sheets are done and almost added them to the sheet load but socks and underwear wrap inside the sheets when in the dryer. Makes neither one get dry completely until I dig out the undies from the sheet cocoon, so I decided to do them separate.
Washed and dried the bedding I keep in the garage for the cat and on occasion the dog to sleep on. The cat is super picky and will only sleep on the bedding for about 3 or 4 days and then refuses. Makes me want to make him go back outside and sleep in the hay, but I don’t. He does go outside but not during weather like today. He’ll probably stay inside the garage for another day or two and then his curious instinct will force him to go out to see what is going on out there.

I did very little yesterday. I had woken very early with my right arm in severe pain. Dang bursitis. Maybe now that the snow has finally arrived it will let up. Changes in the weather are the culprit and I have finally connected the dots.

I did sew two strips of fabric yesterday for the quilt. That was it. Hopefully I can get more done today, however I have removed any expectations and whatever I do get done will be a bonus.

Snowflakes are getting bigger out there and coming down at a pretty good clip. It is pretty but only because I don’t have to drive in it today. Thankfully should be fewer accidents since it is a holiday, although the Workshop was scheduled for work today, I got a text last night telling me they were closed today. That also assisted in a better nights sleep.

I’ve gone to Goodwill over the month or so and have gotten some great finds. Found two wooden heavy kitchen chairs for $10 apiece and they had 4 but I only took 2. Wish I had gotten all 4. Also on another trip I found some very nice dress pants in my size for $2 or $3 and got them and a new pair of jeans for $4. I love finding good quality for a cheap price. I go there to look for fabric which I haven’t found lately. But feel good about the other finds and purchases. One of the chairs did have a couple of scratches on the seat, but I have some furniture stain sticks/markers and used two of them and now you can’t even tell unless you look really close. Since most folks just sit and don’t examine, they will be fine. AND especially for that price. Also worked on 1 of the chairs I have that needed some wood glue. Got it taken care of and was going to replace the kitchen benches with chairs, however I’m not sure now. Only two of the chairs match and they are heavy duty and big so I can’t get two chairs on one side and have them slide under the table when not in use. I’ll have to think about removing both benches. May just keep the chairs on one side and leave a bench on the other. Will think about it and try the different options.

Have my sink full of hot water and will do the dishes after this entry. If I don’t stop writing my hot water will have lost its hot and I’ll have to refill the sink again. Take care and God Bless and have a wonderful, safe, and warm day!

**Edit-just came in from using the electric leaf blower. It took a bit of time as there are several inches so I had to blow the top of the snow first and then go down. I had to go over it several times because it doesn’t always “blow” in the direction I needed it to. It is still snowing pretty hard so not sure how much we will end up with but they are saying it will move out this afternoon. I do hope so as the road crews will be concentrating on the highways and with the snow coming down pretty heavy now, it is sure to be keeping them busy. Gravel roads are done by the county road crews, but there are many areas more populated than here so if they come by I’ll be surprised. Take care
