I like people and I like them to like me, but I wear my heart where God put it, on the inside.” - F. Scott Fitzgerald
More of the Fitz is here.
And while I was shopping for life I found this:
And here it is from the lovely movie ‘Round Midnight:
Singer is Lonette McKee and horn player is Gordon Dexter.
The song is Gershwin’s. Music by George, words by Ira.

It’s a cold Saturday morning. The day after February’s Friday the 13th. That makes it Saturday the 14th.
It’s a good day. I want what I have. I have what I want.
Jim’s gone tractor shopping with the neighbor’s - father and son. I’ve been given instructions:
1. He has the dumb cell phone.
2. There is wood in the basement.
3. When the mail comes, if there is a package, it’s probably the American made Fiskars scissors. I can open it if I can open it without a scissors.
Scissors back story: We had three of those plastic handled scissors. One disappeared. One I took to work because I need a scissors from time to time. One fall off the counter and broke.
Broke you say? Scissors broke? Well yeah. The plastic handle part just completely broke off the metal scissors part and they won’t work that way.
There is a nail in the left side of the frame of the open cupboard that is for scissors and it’s empty. But it won’t be when the mail comes. (It’s an ebay purchase and shipping via USPS has been traced to the minute.)
The jar of quarters is still on the table. There are three dimes and a nickel too but I don’t want to get them mixed up with the quarters. I have a dime container and a nickel one and they belong in their places.
I have a pineapple on the counter - partly sliced, partly eaten. I’m pretty sure I will get to that soon. I will try to keep the keys unsticky.
I think there is a pot of coffee in my future.
Have a good day, everyone.
