Where do I stay? in Stuff

So I wet the bed last night.
Anyone would think I’m 5 again!

I woke up when I felt it running down my right leg. The feeling shocked me awake. I remember that I had been dreaming about peeing right before I woke, so that explains it. My dreams are so realistic that my brain thinks they are real.

I haven’t done that in years, bit it’s not the first time it’s happened. I told myself a long time ago that whenever I dream about taking a leak and that something doesn’t seem right, I’d wake up, go use the bathroom and return to sleep.
Not this time.
Lucky only the first part of the stream got on my bedsheets.
Still fucking annoying though. It was probably all the water I drank at the gym. I do drink a lot when I’m there. And I did use the bathroom before bed. My bladder had other ideas haha.

I spent the morning cleaning that up, showering, and eating breakfast. I usually browse online whilst I eat. I noticed an article saying that Nick Jonas is headlining the Mardi Gras after party.
Well, I was like a duck to water flying to grab my credit card haha. That was enough to make up my mind, considering how unsure I was in the previous entry.
Of course, then I needed flights, and luckily the cheaper ones were still available. I was onto looking for accommodation when I realised my breakfast was now stone cold back in the kitchen and I had to start work in an hour.

So the lineup is already shitloads better than last year’s all-aussie fest. Ive timed it so that I’ll work that day (10 hours), then pretty much have time to pack a few things, head to the airport and arrive in Sydney around 10:20pm. The afterparty starts at 10pm but I reckon as long as I’m there by midnight, I shouldn’t miss any shows.
I won’t even need accommodation that first night because the party goes til 8am.
I just know I’m going to be completely fucked by the time 2pm rolls around where I can check-in to somewhere to recover.
My bag won’t matter too much, I can put that in a cloakroom for the night. I’ll only be going for a few days so I figure Sunday will be a write-off, Monday I can explore Sydney a little and I’ll be getting a late flight back Tuesday. So a whirlwind trip that will probably cost me a small fortune, but hey, I only live once.

I’ve still got to decide on accommodation. I found a few reasonably priced places, but then read the reviews of one and was completely put off, despite the pics looking amazing. I guess I could just go the usual backpackers for a few nights. Then I could even rest after the afterparty rather than surviving til 2pm after having been awake since 4am the day before, which would be 34 hours straight LOL.

I know myself too well. If I am severely overtired, I literally become a monster and zombie in one.
Having said that, my drink of choice at the afterparty has generally been vodka redbull in the past, which has kept me very alert.

So the plan is, Saturday Gym 4am, Work 6am-4pm, flight 7pm-10:20pm, taxi straight to party (might even uber it for the first time if I can), party from about 11pmish until sunrise… Then I either a) pass out in a hotel or backpackers (moolah) b) go home with my adonis prince charming and live happily ever after (highly unlikely) (free) or c) sleep the hangover away on Bondi Beach for the morning (free).

My only real decision now is the accommodation. I don’t expect I’ll be sleeping with anyone but myself, so maybe I should just backpacker it, which is literally 1/5th of the price of a hotel. But I only need 2 nights, really, so maybe I’ll risk those bad reviews as jaded guests.
