So About This Asthma Thing in meh...

I do believe I blogged about my grandson having been in the hospital because of asthma. Up until then I denied, was in denial about it, but this hospital trip made me do some research.

The research, which really turned up nothing helpful, did help me understand a little bit about it. One thing is the symptoms and they don’t know how it’s caused. He seems to have a cold all the time and he coughs and is congested a lot. So I had him over the weekend and I did sleep, but I don’t think I slept very well because I was worried about him. He has the inhaler and a nebulizer. Before bed on Saturday night, I put the nebulizer on him and he didn’t have wheezy breathing nor did he cough much.

What I wanted to research is what to do to get him out of the “yellow zone”. The runny nose, the coughing/cold symptoms, I want him to be well. Every place I turned had no information on what to do. It was stupid. My daughter isn’t like me on the mothering tip. She just takes whatever the doctors say, whatever type treatment they give, and that’s it. No further questions. So I talked/texted to her about the “yellow zone” and she thought his snot was yellow. I could do nothing but shake my head. Then I told her about what I found out and told her to ask what can she do, what can be done to get him out of the yellow zone. In the yellow zone means the asthma isn’t under control. There is only so much I can do because I’m not his mother. And it’s not that she doesn’t care, she just doesn’t know.

I don’t know of any friends with asthma or they have kids with it… I take that back. My one friend. She takes care of her granddaughter and she has it, and keeps it fairley under control, but she wasn’t any help either. She talked about the “action plan” but that was not what I wanted to hear. I do know she has been to the hospital with her granddaughter a couple of times, but all was well in the end.

And that my friends is lunch.
Check you later.

Kindest regards,
Sister
