The Day After in In the Kingdom of Suzu

Jeff had a gig last night, it was just a few blocks from our house but they played 9:30 to 1 a.m., til he broke down and we got home it was almost 2. As usual, Jeff is toast, he puts a lot of energy into his performance and so he is usually pretty non-communicative the next day. The show went well, they're still working out some kinks but they were really tight and sounded great. A few of my co-workers showed up, some of our friends, acquaintances and a couple of Jeff's co-workers. They didn't stay all night---after all most of us at in our 50s!---but it was nice that they came out and supported him. The next gig he has is the Wednesday night before T-giving. We normally go visit his parents in NC but not this year. He already told his parents and they didn't seem too upset. His sister and husband are going down (we don't usually go at the same time, not really sure why, altho' part of it is because his sister has 10 cats and can't find anyone to take care of them---her 2 grown sons don't help out, so when she goes, she goes by herself) so his parents aren't really upset.

I have off tomorrow for Veteran's Day---not sure what i'm doing yet. Might have my older GDs but haven't heard for sure. I can't believe that it's been over a month since i saw them!---that is so no like me, but they see their dad every other week, Jeff and I went away for a long weekend and the one Saturday that i could have seen them, they had play dates!----such is the life of a 10 and 7 year old--ha-ha!----if i don't have to watch them Monday, i will make arrangements to visit them one night after work this week---i should have a pretty decent work week and be able to get out at a decent time.

Well, i guess i don't really have much else to say, have a good Sunday all!
