As I said yesterday poor Archie was struggling to stand on his back legs and this did worry me, as before he went vets he had no problems with them and was jumping around as is usual for him.
Then last night with his evening meal we injected his food with pain killer, this was the first time we were allowed to give it to him. Then we went out for around 3 hours to give Jennette, her present and card, as it’s her birthday today.
We had a lovely meal of hotpot and a chocolate cake was there as well. Not really interested in cakes but I always take a piece to be polite, just 2 mouthfuls is enough for me. Later the children put the new PS4 on and connected it to the iPad. Not sure what the game they put on was called but it had us all in stitches laughing.
The game brings the space around us to life, it like watching a live video of yourself and everything around you. They then drew pictures on the iPad and flicked them. They then appeared to be there in the room with you. Next they flicked mini robots into the room that seemed to be living in the controller and begging to come out and play with the objects that had been created by the iPad. We could also interact with these objects.
The children had such fun making rude item. One was said to be glasses with a nose but in truth was male penis and balls. Then issy said she was drawing odd shaped brown balloons, which in fact was poo. At one point the room looked like it was buried in the the stuff.
Sadly, we just had to go home, so the children could calm down and go to bed. It sure was a fun night.
Back to Archie!
Once home we were surprised to see him jumping up and down greeting us with more vigour then is usual and that Is usually full on. So I guess he must have pain in his legs.
He is himself this Morning and really enjoying his new soft food.
We have around 3 inches of snow here, do sadly no walk for him today. Hubby did take him out for 15 minutes last thing, before bed.
Today Jennette, is collecting their new car and are suppose to be going out for the day, to give it a long run, we have always done this to check car out. Not sure if this Is still happening with all this snow around. All local motorways came to a stand still this morning.
Poor Louise, needs to be in London to day and needed to be at station before 6 am to catch her train. The trains are also affected here. Louise is trying to get a visa to go on holiday to Russia, she is now wishing she had never booked the trip. She had to fill in a major form all about what she has done in life and what counties she been to visit in her life and for what purpose. She also needs her fingerprints taken and have an interview at the embassy. Her friend from Portugal is going on same trip and got get visa no problem. If that had been me I would just cancal trip. Would not feel safe with all these checks. It is also costing her a fortune.
Got a texted from Louise. She got to London ok, Marta, her lodger, or is that ex lodger from Sunday, got up very early and drove the 4 miles to the station in the deep snow.
We are all sad that Marta after a year of living at Louises has taken the big step and rented a large expensive house in the city centre. She will be moving in with friends who also have moved over here to work from Portugual. They got on very well and helped each other out a great deal, making both their live much easier. They will miss that.
I will miss her very much she brought a great deal to our lives and we have done many things together. It was like having a third daughter around. Hope we still get to see her.
Was relived to hear that Louise had her interview and fingerprints taken and has now left embassy. Phew. Will hear in a week or so, if they will grant a visa to enter Russia.
