Funny bunch in One day at a time

My friends and I communicate via email during the work day. As I have already mentioned my office is deadly quiet (think library), and a personal phone call would be very much frowned on. Yeah, happy days.
So my friends are a funny bunch – here is a sampling of today’s gems.
Teri (second day back at work after a seven week summer holiday)
Oh my God, will need to do some serious drinking over the weekend, care to join me?

Dana (still on holiday)
I’m emailing you from the bath as I am hiding from the painter
She is having the interior of her house painted by a guy that has a story for everything. Seriously – 45 minutes on the benefits of using liquid rather than powder balls in the dishwasher.

Janey (back to working 3 days a week, until her 8 year old goes back to school next week)
thought I better email the radio station and check that our prize was two beds, not one
This is for the food and wine fest she won tickets to – and is taking ME. It’s on Valentines day, so not surprising there maybe some discussion over the bedding.

Love you Mudguts, but not in that way
Mudguts is a pet name my Mother used to call me (I have no idea why). She named Janey Lamb chop (which sounds much kinder). Janey and I still call each other MG and LC.

So yeah, they may think they control me here, but I’m still having a pretty good time!
