Another early Sunday AM in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Yep, woke up early again. Body just wouldn’t let me go back to sleep. Aging isn’t all that fun sometimes.

It’s been busy since I last updated. Motivation seems to have returned although it was somewhat forced motivation. As I last wrote (I think) J’s TV went kuput last Monday or possibly Sunday during the night. Whatever it had lines all across the screen. You could make out the picture, but not the way you want to watch your shows or play your games. heh

Long day ahead as the “cleaning” began in J’s room to ready to change out the 27” to the 32” that had been in the LR. Oh my the man child has a LOT of stuff in there. I knew he did, but the volume was much larger than I expected. Not enough time yet to go through all of WWE DVDs, his PS games, and music CDs to sort and possible reduce his inventory. If I were a business owner I would have a stroke to find that much hidden inventory in my stockrooms. Geeze he has more than I could count. He has a LOT! Still have more to do, but we’ve got other things to do now so the continuation of the purge will be later. If we get a snow day, that will be a prompt to resume. Maybe. Actually, so far, we’ve lucked out in my area and have had very little wintery weather to contend with thus far this month. Unusual indeed. Last year I believe work had closed down at least 2 days by now.

Today will be the family get together for J’s birthday which is tomorrow. It will be a double celebration as my DILs birthday is today. Everyone will gather here around 2 this afternoon and we will have spaghetti. J has his own cake and DIL will have her own cake. J’s cake is a layer chocolate cake and I made a picture that I sealed with clear contact plastic of Uncle Si, along with some small figures of Uncle Si, a duck call, and something else that I can’t remember right now. DIL’s cake is a strawberry poke cake. That is a white cake with holes poked in it after it has cooled and then strawberry jello is poured over the top. Add Cool Whip and some strawberries and you’ve got a delicious and pretty cake. Tada!! Ice Cream will be provided for those who want ice cream. I will give J a couple of his presents today and save the rest for tomorrow on his real birthday. He is excited about today and has been talking about his birthday since the day after Christmas. For those of you who would like to know, Jacob will be 28 tomorrow. Can’t believe it has been 28 years since Jacob was born into this world. He, like my other kids was a gift. Jacob is just a special gift and amazing me at times.

It is now creeping very close to 5am since I started this entry. I have been doing other stuff while trying to write this entry. Fed Big Kitty in the garage, cleaned his litter box, refreshed my coffee and various other little tasks.

Had the grands yesterday and they did good. They played off and on outside but not as much as I expected. What they really wanted to do was watch You Tube videos so I had to be a time limit on that endeavor. Their mom arrived here yesterday about 9:30 or 10 and then she went to work. Dude arrived here from his work around 5:30 so the day (Sat) wasn’t as long as it has been on Saturdays. The company has changed Dude’s route so he gets off work a bit earlier on Saturdays. I am glad. Keeping the kiddos til 8pm is not always pleasant as they and I get tired and grumpy. Wonder who gets grumpy? heh

Best end this entry and do something. I need to sweep my kitchen and utility room some time today and need to mop too but not mopping yet.
