Like Paul and the pain box,
I’m learning not to flinch,
learning the burn is an illusion
and to not move an inch.

The feeling that there’s a better you,
sleeping inside,
but you don’t know how to wake him.
We need a word for this.

Like Paul and the pain box,
I’m trying to prove I’m a man
by taking attacks while smiling
holding out for as long as I can.
