B&W Challenge: Day 9 in Postcards 4

Janey. Again, a strong woman who overcame thyroid cancer to create her own business and skate for a gold medal in roller skating. She appeared on and off in our lives throughout the years as a friend, a roommate, and employer, and, at the end, a fellow employee of the Padres. Here she is on the back deck 50th Birthday party.

Most of the pictures I took during this period were with a 6 pixel camera without any image stabilization. Did I ever mention that all most all my pictures were fuzzy during this time. Finding a clear picture of Janey was sadly impossible tho catching her passion wasn’t.

• Himself: Called the doctor at last. Sleep is helping his cough, “and my soul too,” he says.
• Herself: Coughing less. Hurting less too. I’ll take that any day. After an exhaustive search, I found the pants fallen to the bottom of my closet. They are now at the cleaners.
• Reading: A Perry Christmas book, skimming a book on giant yachts and one on lighthouses of the west coast.
• Balance: Book day.
