“I left the organization at the beginning of 2012 after a trans inclusive policy was cancelled by Derrick Jensen and Lierre Keith. Many good people and good activists left the organization for that reason.

I find these transphobic attitudes to be disgusting and deeply troubling, and it bothers me a lot to have any past association with people promoting transphobia.” - Earth First! End relations with Deep Green Resistance due to Transphobia.

Can’t say I know to much about what has been written previous but the peice is written and in a measured tone and cites the voice of people who have left DGR due to this issue.

The gender status of a person is irrelevant to their suitability for an action, campaign of membership of a movement. Their voice(s) if anything is(are) more valuable in regards to many focuses due to the oppression Trans people suffer daily, in our society and within our movement, let alone the absence -we have built our society on- of their perspectives and thoughts.
