Wind stops play. in The odd entries from life …….

…. and there was a little fine rain.

Our Wednesday agility class was cancelled, and that was due to rain, today we were ok for fifty five minuets then in the last five minuets the jumps started to be blown over, the two supports are quite chunky and it takes a strong wind to topple them; so that was that for today!

Ziggy was quite excited doing agility, but seemed not bothered by the building going on just over the hedge, perhaps the gathering wind made enough noise to distract him. I was in my usual folding chair keeping Lola on a short lead, both dogs don’t understand taking turns!

I keep Ziggy very close while the ‘champion’ did her stuff on the course, keeping Ziggy close helps keeping me and my chair upright! Ziggy was fast today, a few bars on the jumps were knocked off and twice he wasn’t listening, taking a jump when he should have been going through the weaving poles!

Lola was of course the more precise as she took the obstacles, though she did displaced two bars on the jumps, Ziggy seemed full of energy tacking the jumps in long eloquent flights and only touching the ground once or twice until he was upon the next obstacles, and barking if my Daughter was falling behind; keep it up girl!

Just as well it wasn’t Dad doing the course, slow and lost would be the comments from Daughter and Jo. As the hour was nearing its end the wind got up and two jumps went down one after the other, as soon as Jo had the two up three went down, so we called is a [windy] day!

The coming weather is for stormy day’s ahead, I’ll be ok even if the forecast is a little awry; getting though winter with out a storm or three is fine; after all we had quite a crop last winter!
