Off my Butt in My this and that

I need to get up off my butt and get back into the swing of things. After the busy Christmas/New Years season, I’m having a hard time dealing with the following:
a) working a full 5 day week
b) waking up
c) going to bed at a reasonable time
d) going to the gym
e) eating less
f) being not-grumpy
I just feel quite blah… my apartment has felt quite cold, like our heat isn’t working properly, and I think that is sapping my energy. Yesterday I turned the oven on to 450F and opened it, and just sat beside it drinking hot chocolate and reading my book… finally when I was warm I found the energy to get up and ruin Christmas (that’s what I call taking down all the decorations).
Wishing today was Saturday. Didn’t make it to the gym this week. I feel guilty, but also the thought of going made me want to throw a 2-year-old-type temper tantrum… so I thought staying home was justified.
I get to go to Ikea this weekend. SO excited… which might be weird.
Ben and I are going to take a vacation! We both are taking two weeks off work at the beginning of summer. I suggested a trip to Europe… but I imagine we’ll stay on this continent and do a road trip instead… whichever is cheaper because “you shouldn’t do Europe on a budget” apparently… shrugs I JUST WANT TO SEE STUFF AND DO SOMETHING NEW! But I would still go to Montana and British Columbia, both places I’ve never been, so I think that’d be quite fun too… and probably more relaxing.
Whatever we end up doing, it will be fun. I need to start meal planning and cooking more though in order to save money for said vacation… blah cooking and meal planning is boring and I hate it… BUT it’s for a good cause, so I can totally do it!
