The wall has been sufficiently hit in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Did as planned yesterday and it seemed to take all day. I knew it would take some time to get everything done to officially and legally own the Tahoe but with the money being done on Monday afternoon I really didn’t expect it to take nearly all day yesterday. First went to the shop to get the title from the girl. We did the signing on the title and then I went to the insurance office. Ouch. Insurance. I did drop the liability on Fred’s old pickup which hasn’t been moved from its parking spot for 2 yrs. I was planning on just paying for 3 mos full coverage on the 09 but with the credit on the old truck policy I ended up paying up until May 31, 2015. Went back to the shop to have A go with me to get ‘00 Tahoe but she was busy which is good. We agreed to meet at my house after Owen got out of school and then go get the ‘00. Next stop I made with all official paper work was to the license bureau. Um hmmm. Well almost all the paperwork. I forget to get the inspection. Blech. So, I went back to my mechanic and we chatted and then he finally got the inspections stuff completed and I went back to get the license.

Then they used their adding machine. whimper Oh my. Wrote another check for the state and county taxes and the 2 yr plates. Big breath!! Headed to Wally World to get the essentials such as bread, milk, etc. Got done, checked out, put stuff in new Tahoe which has 3d row seating, which means not a large back area for anything. Rethinking how and where to put shopping stuff. May use the middle but I’ll figure it out. I can take the 3d row out, but where would I put it? It would have a major chance of getting damaged if I take it out so will figure out something else. Did get my stuff loaded and headed home. Decided to back in the garage just to see if I could. It has a backup camera which makes things look farther away, however it does have a warning beep. “Skillfully” backed in the garage and got out to throw something in the trash on the other side and heard the tahoe beep and lock. Ummmm, the keys were in the ignition!!!!! Have no idea what I did, but I was locked out and the milk and other stuff was locked inside.

Tried everything I could think of including the remote for the old tahoe. Nada! Had to call to see if prior owner had the spare keys with her that she was going to give me. No, she didn’t, but had the remote. Thank the Good Lord. A brought the remote to me when she and Owen got her and helped me unload and put the cold stuff away. Thankfully the weather isn’t hot or I’d be more concerned about the cold stuff. Will watch the milk though. I have it go bad on me often cause we just don’t use it often but like to keep some here if needed.

I will end this entry and get ready for work. Blah! One more year!! One more year!!

Take care, stay safe, and God Bless
