New Year's Day in blackpropaganda

I managed to get my best wishes for the New Year in while PB was on and off yesterday - so it is good to see it has settled down again - I thought it might be a case of the OD syndrome. Many thanks to the PB master who is willing to keep things going.
We were out at a friend’s house for New Year’s Eve - eight of us - with people bringing starters, desserts, cheese and appropriate wines - and the hostess doing the main course. Excellent food and company - a little too much wine drunk. We had taken our car with two other friends to get there, transporting stuff, and then had booked a taxi to get us home - picking up the car this morning.
It was a very efficient taxi service - almost dead on time - and well worth the double fare for NYE.
So we watched the fireworks from London while drinking 2006 Moet champagne, said our HNYs - and very soon were in the taxi.
Today it is quiet - and reading sends you off to sleep.
