Today or I should say this Day in particular, is all about waiting, the last few hours of the old year! At time we hope the new year will be better than the one slipping into history!
As just any day it is good the wake to views with out frost, after three days and nights of frost our hand-basin in the down stares bathroom is slow to empty and gurgles, due to the outlet pipe goes through the wall, to a pipe that runs along the outside wall; all the fun of life in Cornwall where they like to think they don’t have frost ………
Out side we can see smoke drifting down the valley, are they celebrating the new year a little early, or cleaning out the old one; which ever Daughter and Ziggy we out walking and retuned with itchy eyes.
As for resolutions for the new year I haven’t decided yet, I’m quite certain I will pass of weight resolutions, over so many years the haven’t worked, or more likely I didn’t keep to my wishes; best not to de there this year! Perhaps I could make 52 photographic topics through 2015, and create more paintings; make the best of what I can do!
I should be busy with the vacuum cleaner in the lounge, but we are waiting for the Sainsbury Van with our groceries, so Lola and Ziggy are in there! I’ve just turned on the mac and the van hasn’t arrived yet, if it doesn’t come soon I shall have to make myself a cup of coffee; that usually brings them here just as the coffee touches my lips ……
…… no – It hasn’t worked!
Just half way down my coffee and there was shout ‘Sainsbury’s are here’ Once the groceries are inside I’m sent out, the remaining coffee in my cup is just warm; I can only drink hot coffee!
Just remembered, My Daughter has got me signed up to ‘Jantastic 2015’ A get fit scheme backed by ‘Strava’ Macmillan Cancer Support’ ‘England Athletics’ ‘Virgin Money’ ‘Tribe Sports’ and ‘triathlon england’ so I should make Jantastic 2015 a resolution if I know what’s good for me.
I had a choose between running and cycling, I was told cyling would be best for me, and that is true as riding a bike is a low impact sport as long as the cars keep out of the way! Then I was thinking how long it has been since I was last on the saddle; also the bike needs some oiling and tyre pumping up!
Later Daughter said ‘You will be ok on your bike you can watch television’ What I thought, watch television on my bike! My mind is quite literal and took bike as the bike you ride on the road; rather than the stationary exercise bike! Now that’s better cycling along in the lounge, no traffic or cold winds that can blow into all sort of places!
It seems the new year is all sorted for me, with a few revisions along the months; all we need now is to enjoy the last hours of the old year and make the start of 2015 some fun!
