I can be and have been a lazy slug. I was non-productive most all weekend. Good or bad that is how it was and by yesterday afternoon I was getting tired of not having a plan or project to do. Is that normal? When I was younger, like before marriage and kids, that was not a problem in the least. Matter of fact in the summer that was typical of my life. Now, it is not a good thing for me to not have a plan. With that said, it makes be glad that my early kicker to retire wasn’t approved. It apparently isn’t time yet for me to not be working. Not working this week but will slowly return to the work force next week. I dread it but yet, know that at this time in my life it is better than turning into a slug at home. I will start this week with small projects Cleaning areas that normally don’t see the light of day or even a light bulb.

Saturday I went to Dude’s to stay with the grands although they did want to come here, which we did. They were the picture of the best behaved grands EVER!! I had to run to the grocery store before we headed here and they all said they would just wait for me which they did and watched a guy try to start a car and then hook a rope or something to it to I assume pull it somewhere. The girls both got Ipods for Christmas and Isaiah brought his new tool box with tools with him to my house. The girls listed to their music till we got here and then watch a couple of Hallmark movies that I had DVRd. God bless DVR ability!! I fixed them lunch when we got here and they were pretty calm until their mom arrived to pick them up. It was exactly what I needed after the Saturday before. They were holy terrors the Saturday before Christmas but it was before Christmas and after the school Christmas parties when THAT Saturday came so all surprises were done, sugar was limited, and another Christmas that evening at their grandpas. Great day for all of us!

Yesterday I watched them a couple of hours while their dad fixed some fence. He had them with him and they were sitting in his truck. I did NOT realize that was happening until I decided to go to Wally World to get some bread and came upon them on my way. I told him the kids could go with me to Walmart and they were so well behaved. I wonder if they had an exorcism sometime in the last few days. lol I bought Papa Murphy’s pizza to fix for supper and on the way back we came upon Dude again as he is making his way repairing the 2 mi worth of fence down here. There are still more miles of fence that he will work on as I guess the farm is paying Dude to fix it instead of hiring someone else. This will help Dude although it is hard work and not much an hour. But the fence he has been fixing will eventually be mine so it is good for me and Dude.

I did fix a jacket for Ruby’s little guy as the zipper was broken and teeth were missing. I ended up taking up the sleeves and used velcro to allow it to close up in the cold. The jacket is a light but very very warm material that is popular in the northern areas where it is cold and snowy. I don’t think it is as warm as my sister thinks, but she could be correct. Anyway it is as fixed as I could fix it.

Time to kick it in gear and get another cup of coffee and check my washer. Hope you day is good. Cold temps are back and promise to bring some wintery weather. I take dad to an appointment tomorrow and I hope the snow waits until that appointment is over and we’re home. God bless!!
