It's come and gone.... in blackpropaganda

And then -POOF - like Cinderella’s coach at midnight it was gone.
All that build up, expectation - and then deflation - back to it being a normal day - Saturday - and things that have been put on hold have to be done.
I love the responses to Christmas which people have put up on PB - and just to say we have a nice quietish time.
On Christmas Day we got up and breakfasted - opened presents - just to say I had one to open from elder son and family - younger son’s still in the system - and SW… and I get things we both want at any time. She gets more from friends - etc.
We had ‘lunch’ at 3 pm at friends in the road - and then we reciprocated yesterday - a nice arrangement - with some champagne, nice wine, and port.
Evenings were spent in front of the tv.
Quiet is the word.
Boxing Day is SW..’s birthday - so there were more cards and presents - phone calls with the family - and information on what all the kids got for Christmas.
And that’s it!
This time next week we should be on the way to Spain - and sunshine?
At least we have not had the snow here which hit some parts of the UK.

Highlights of the holiday - seeing On the Town and Singin’ in the Rain yesterday afternoon - one after the other on BBC2 - and a lovely nostalgic piece by Victoria Wood last night - not to everyone’s taste I suspect.
