Morning of Christmas Eve in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

4:55 am was get out of bed time, which made me happy. I do think I’ve got an sinus infection is working hard since I woke up with a major headache and my head feels like it weighs 50 lbs.

I have received a few notes asking what “quilt as you go” is. I know you can find You Tube videos on how to, but let me see if I can explain. You make your block whatever size you decide on; for J’s quilt as you go it was a bandana which are about 18” square.
You stack your pieced block, with batting and backing cut to the same size, sandwich them together and quilt them first, and then actually join blocks together. This method allows you to quilt a block at a time instead of trying to quilt a full, queen or king size quilt with your sewing machine. It can be done, but it is a tedious and slow process when you have all the weight. Hope that helps. Prayer request please for my teen years horse back riding buddy and friend. She is a year younger than I am and she was to have two stints put in yesterday. This wasn’t scheduled it was discovered she had blockage and the stints needed done now.

I am also requesting prayer for my sister and BIL. I am pretty sure that BIL is drinking way to much. He’s called me a couple of times in the afternoon, late afternoon and he’s slurring and way to talky. Having family move back to home area is not always a good eye opener.

J is soooo ready for Christmas. And he is having dreams almost every night. He is dreaming about his daddy, and his friend Justin that died a couple of years ago. I really hope the dreams stop after Christmas for him. He’s been suspended for 3 days for falling asleep at work.....again. He told me his dad and Justin keeping him from sleeping at night so I asked him if he was dreaming about his dad and Justin. He said Yes, and stop it. I don’t think those two are the only two he is dreaming about and I would not be too surprised if these are not dreams. J has a special connection with the spirit of the Lord so I never know who may pay a visit to J. Sound crazy? Heh. Others have seen the special connection too. It will make you want to fall to your knees but you just watch in total amazement and joy. I nor others are a big group of seeing and knowing. We usually keep it to ourselves and know that J has special angels that watch over him. We’ve seen the “connection” from J to them, and it is like you know you are in the presence of something special going on.
