Seriously. I used my tiny laptop while I was out of town. You know, the underpowered laptop I got specifically because it was underpowered and small.

All things considered, I spent most of the time out of my head. I’ve had a lot of time so worried about, well, a lot of things. And while it’s important to work on things and deal with things, it’s also important to gain a little mental buffer. You can’t just keep going and going. It’s important to take a breather now and then.

Conversation last night got me in my head for a bit, contemplating Candi-related things, school-related things, and future-related things. But by morning, I was back to my normal self. Also. Air mattresses sound good in theory but owwie my back. Sleeping on my side seemed to stave off owwies, but I’m so looking forward to sleeping in my own bed.

Elissa’s relatives reminded me of my sister and the company she might keep. Something about background music and indie beer screams childless apartment.

Ya know, for all my supposed lack of social skills, I make a point to never inconvenience hosts. I clean up after myself, expect to feed myself, and fold given sheets before leaving. I’ll even turn down the heat and turn off lights when I leave areas. I think I have more tact than I give myself credit for. I just find it simpler to be direct. As well, I have few needs in terms of formalities.

We meant to see the third Hobbit movie, but instead her cousin pirated the first two and we watched them. We’ll get around to seeing it in theatres. Makes me want to rewatch Lord of the Rings.

Oh. Star Wars Old Republic is having issues installing, so I’m uh playing Everquest2 again. It feels comforting. Creating a new character is like replaying a game. I don’t do end-level stuff.

I better get my gym bag ready. Lower stuff tonight so I can squeak in an upper tomorrow before it closes early.
