Being on vacation does increase my ability to write in my diaries. I guess that is a good thing but hopefully don’t bore you to death. I write so I can remember later. heh I need to write to remember more than I used to.
So I did sleep a couple more hours yesterday morning. It was good when I saw the clock said 6 something as opposed to 4 something. I then finished up J’s laundry which I didn’t do on Saturday. Got dressed and fixed a bite to eat and then headed to Dude and Dudette’s old home town for their church’s Christmas play. Did stop at Kmart to check for an adapter for the HDMI cable. The good deal I got on a 20’ HDMI cable would cost me around $50 to get the stuff to make it work. Not such a good deal. So for now, the fantasy of seeing my laptop screen on the bigger TV screen is at rest.
I made a couple of stops at stores we don’t have here but didn’t see anything I wanted or needed to buy. Good for me!! When I got home I decided to nap and I was successful. After the nap, I made another batch of Haystacks. Still not sure if I’m going to get the sugar cookies made and gave all my cookie cutters away, so would just use a glass to make round cookies. I don’t have a problem with round and if I choose to I can get creative with the icing. This is still an “if” as I seem to have gone into a not very motivated mood. I did wrap more Christmas presents this morning and sorted all the stocking stuffers into appropriate bags and sacks so Christmas Eve I can just drop and move on. Still have to wrap some more for J and the grand girls dolls and wardrobes. Should take me too terribly long and think I’ve got the majority of the wrapping done. The grands are to get 4 wrapped packages from Gma K (Pearl). I will need to combine some of the outfits for the dolls to reduce the wrapped packages/boxes to 4. 1 box will contain the respective dolls, 1 box will have clothes for each of the girls so that leaves only 2 boxes for all the doll clothes. I may wrap outfits individually and put in the bigger box. I was talking to her parents yesterday before the program started and we were thinking how funny it might be to have the girls open all the presents that concern an “American” girl doll (only the ones I’m giving them are “Canadian” girl dolls) but hold back the dolls and pretend that is it. We did decide that may be too close to mean, so we will not do it that way.
Fixed a frozen pizza for supper and watch a couple of Christmas movies. I had a very relaxing afternoon and evening and now I’m ready to do a bit more. So will end this entry and get started again.
Take care and God Bless
