… wasn’t a lot different than one of seventeen except I didn’t take any pictures.
What I did do:
1. Watered my poor deck plants that I’d brought in the house.
2. Cleaned, dusted, washed, and holiday-ifed the plate rack. It now has Christmas themed doodads, including snowmen and Santas.
3. Cleaned off the bench that used to hold the tv.
4. Washed the poinsettia and the sleigh bells.
5. Discussed painting the kitchen with Jim.
6. Folded and put away clothes.
7. Brought in half a skid loader bucket of wood.
8. Signed a release for the snowmobile trail that supposedly protects us from liability. We have either never done that before or it’s been a very long time since we’ve done it.
9. Made the black cat a spay appointment at 8:30 Dec. 30th. She can’t eat after six the night before and we can pick up a cat carrier at the vet clinic to transport her.
10. Looked for piano wax under the sink but didn’t find any. I vaguely remember throwing it away wondering what circumstances would make me want to use it. Who knew?
11. Went through the stacked pre-filing on the table. Took care of it. One way or another.
12. Studied up on Delores Del Rio. Read her wiki article and watched youtubes. Watched most of Bird of Paradise - a pre-code South Sea adventure and parts of Flying Down to Rio. They were both pretty great movies. I think the Code/Industry Censorship took away a lot of movies adulthood. Also watched Monkey Business with Ginger Rodgers and Cary Grant. Lighter fare. Grant’s hair is not slicked down - gives him a more casual effect.
13. Changed the verb tenses in most of this list once and some of it twice.
14. Ate oranges and grapefruit.
15. Thought about Christmas cards. This years and last years are now strewn on the table. The cleared off table. That is not progress. I am going to tape them somewhere right now. Either onto the plate rack or onto the wall under the seascape so they can be walked up to more easily and looked at. Yup,
right now.
Spot is on or in the lens. Would be a better picture without it.
