Monday, December 15th 2014 in I Need A New Job

Writers note: all names are changed to nicknames to protect myself… nobody is innocent here

So funny thing… or as the book title suggest, it’s probably not so funny.
Here is chronologically what has transpired:

Sunday (7th): Informed Buzz that I will not be in for the rest of my week (Mon - Weds)

Tuesday (9th): After receiving a text from Buzz asking if I would be the following day even though he was already told I wouldn’t be, I responded with a “No, and I need to leave early on Tuesday (12:30 pm) for a follow up appointment”, to which he responded with “Ok… take care”.

Saturday (13th): Buzz phones me and asks if I made arrangements to leave early on Tuesday, to which I respond “yes, when I told you I need to leave early”. Pondering that he replied with “Okay I’ll cover that”.

Now here we are, Monday, the day before this all gets to happen. My relief shows up at work… is my mistrust in Buzz well founded? Let’s find out!

Me: Hey, did Buzz happen to ask you about tomorrow?
1Up: What’s happening tomorrow?
Me: I need to leave early for a follow up appointment
1Up: He has said nothing to me
Me: I told him about this last week....
1Up: What time do you need me?
Me: 12:30
1Up: No problem
Me: I should have guessed he wouldn’t take care of that
1Up: Unless he asked Belle to do it
Me: No, I’m sticking with he just didn’t do it
