And The Bubble Has Burst in 2014

Not a bonus. His commission. His full commission. It wouldn’t be a problem, except it is. We already spent a very large portion of it. And, it’s also only for two weeks commission. We were expecting 4. Scott is still very confused about how and when the commission gets paid out. So...... we don’t have enough money to go around again. Now begins the great debate, do we return everything we bought so we can figure it out, or borrow the money to pay our rent?

My whole day has been shattered. I was supposed to go to the post office hours ago to mail out cards. And shopping for a scarf for the women’s Christmas party at church tonight because we are doing a scarf exchanged. But instead I had a full blown panic attack and then crunched numbers in every way possible to try and figure out what we can and can not do to get through this month. I don’t see any way other than returning presents, or borrowing what we are short.

The issue is not that we spent the money, because we operated in the “just in case” scenario which was it really was his commission early. The problem is that the commission is a little less than half of what we were operating said assumption under. Technically, we can’t afford Christmas at all.

We had a beautiful weekend though. We got two days of dates. A Christmas party for us on Saturday night, and Christmas shopping on Sunday while FIL watched the kids. Treated ourself to a few things on Saturday and lunch out with the kids. It was such a fun, happy weekend. The weight of what this brings is just ugly. So..... I guess I have no choice but to power through my day.
