Boy did it rain here. An old fashioned gully washer. Laka hasn’t said if she is ok, but Margot is. As far as I know, no one washed away. That’s was great. Parts of the city are flooded, and other parts scattered with fallen trees or palm fronds.
Everything has been Christmas around here. Even in the rain. A great many folks came out in the rain to go shopping. I thought that odd, but was glad they came our way. We are one corner of a thrift store grouping, and perhaps we become part of a thrift store trek on bad weather days. Salvation Army, Goodwill, the Rock Church store, us, and a Father Joe shop are all within a few blocks of each other. If one store doesn’t have something, perhaps the other stores will.
Only one person brought in a donation today, and that was ok by me. I was the sorter, the pricer, and the check in new stuff person. I had experts to help me make it all work…that was a great help. Wednesday I dithered and had to apologize for my really horrible behavior. Today there were no apologies needed for this great day.
- Himself: Drove up to North County this morning just before the rain hit. His company’s first Holiday Party. Hope he will be home before it starts raining again.
- Herself: Grandson N is out of ICU and in rehab after a massive infection. I’m pretty good all around, and G is really great. Great struggle with a new email program to mail out the Christmas cards. If you didn’t get one, let me know.
- Reading: Something fluffy.
- Balance: I’m home.
