the former in the dell in poetry

the damn thing will hold power now
but it will not charge
and every time the connection drops
a little bit more strength drains away
this is both literal
as well as a metaphor
this is my life
my life as a laptop

jiggle the cord and try again
jiggle the cord and try again
pray to something you know in your heart
is just a con made up to fleece rubes
and then jiggle again
every once in a while
it will even work and charge for a bit
then pop out the side
all you have now
is a little more time
to repeat the crazy process tomorrow
my life as a laptop
