Praise the Lord! in My this and that

I had another day off yesterday, just using them up before the end of the year. I felt like I got SO much accomplished. I did a bit of sewing, baked two Christmas treat recipes. I am hosting a goody exchange and I have narrowed it down to these two goodies, now I just need to choose one. I THINK I’m leaning towards the raisin tart square. It reminds me more of Christmas time than the chocolate chip cookie dough truffles, and it is quicker and easier to make… but we’ll see. I also made this amazing deer stew with biscuits for dinner. I just ate the leftovers for lunch. My parents stopped by briefly for a bit, and I relaxed on the couch for a while. I picked Ben up after his physio therapy session, and in the evening I had a delightful bath. Oh yes, I also went to the store, took our cute foster kitten in to get vaccinated, and went to the chiropractor.

These random days off leave me feeling SO refreshed… and I wonder how much I could get done if I didn’t have to work. Someday I’d like to get good enough at sewing that I don’t have to work a regular job. I REALLY enjoy sewing, and they say “do what you love and you never have to work a day in your life.” I wonder if I’ll ever get that good at sewing.

I’ll just keep practising!
