Life seems to be getting stranger, sitting at my computer last night I heard a series of bangs, I say bangs but the sounds were odd as when I first them I thought it was water dripping! I went into the kitchen and listened, then I thought they were bangs – soft or distant bangs, thinking someone was celebrating a birthday or what ever with fireworks, but there was no flashes.

Ziggy was calm all night, strangely it was Lola who was barking, some thing she dose often when we are watching television, she did a bit when I was watching ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ the old gents were caring a dinosaur; as they do!

As well as last nights sounds there have been two unexplained explosions, one near Manchester and one local said “A loud bang in Salford” What ever it was it did generate hundreds entries on to social media sites, the second was on the A1 near Catterick Army Base, six miles of the A1 was closed.

After having a look on the web I found these … ‘Two men seriously injured in unexplained explosion in flat in Birmingham’ and three explosions in a southern town also unexplained. Some papers are offering versus suspects, an American stealth jet the often mentioned Aurora project, powered by a ‘pulse detonation engine’ stealth and noisy! An other offer was the end of the world, but here are we reading and writing post event.

More likely it could be an old satellite burning up, or a meteorite braking up and expulsing high in the atmosphere! There is comment from the MoD ‘no aircraft were scrambled’ so could the MoD know something! There is a recording of the sounds, to me it sounds just like a profession firework display, a series of explosions but not in a even series as I would expect from a ‘pulse detonation engine’ So we shall wait and see, or more likely just wait if it was project Aurora; a silence after the bangs in the night.
