Happy Thanksgiving! in New Immigrant

Wishing you a good memory filled holiday
garnished with tasty food and amiable company!

Tom, six cats, ten squirrels, dozens of birds, outside orange cat and crippled buck are spending a sunny, cheerful day on the Mississippi and it’s been one of the best Thanksgivings in awhile. Everyone is in a good mood, the “kids” nearly caught their Thanksgiving Beast (mouse) and had fun
trying.

We are glad to be together and tomorrow it will be
warm enough to walk doggie Jack again. He remains
the light of my life through these rough times. And his folks have become pleasant acquaintances to chat
with each day.

Otherwise the situation in Illinois remains horrible and our Nephew’s edict that we will “never see my children again” has hurt as Lila celebrated her fourth birthday without us and her favorite aunt and her Grandmother.

Violet, home from college, managed to see her Grandmother for a few moments and all they
could do was hug and sob.

Dave’s wife doesn’t see his obsessiveness and so he has had no treatment. After getting what He and his Sister wanted at the last court session, he flew off the
handle and pounded on Penny’s door for ten minutes during which time Tom chanced to drive up and Dave ran at his vehicle and shouted for about ten more minutes, literally foaming at the mouth with rage, spit spewing and running, while Tom said not a word. When Tom thought Dave was finally leaving, instead he swerved his vehicle in front of Tom’s and
Tom seriously believed he was going to be rammed.

In hopes of demonstrating to Dave’s wife the
extremes of his behavior so she would get him treatment and also out of genuine fear, Tom and
niece Jen (Dave’s Sister) both took out restraining
orders but it has only made Heather angrier at Tom and Penny.

There is another court hearing December 10th.

It’s hard work to keep my head clear and in a peaceful
frame of mind. No sooner do our heads stop spinning
from one attack and there is another. Poor Tom contends with the situation while in Illinois plus functions as counselor to his Sister and Niece when he is at home which has taken a toll on his tranquility! We “Elderly Folks” aren’t good with all this stress!

Jack, Penny’s husband, may be declining some as his
delusions pretty much rule him. However, there is still the insightful comment out of nowhere and he still knows all his family and is not oblivious to the conflict.

Therefore, my wishes for Peace and Harmony during this holiday season is more heartfelt than ever before.

Oh my goodness. You and Tom have been going through so much and I am soooo sorry. That sounds like a very complex and difficult situation.

Happy Thanksgiving! What stressful and awful family times going on there. Hope someone gets a grip on it and recognizes the situation for what it is.

I thought us Brits were kings of understatement, but you managed it with ‘the situation in Illinois remains horrible’ Dave needs help jugging by his actions, I would stay in the car with him around also. It is a horrid situation to put up with and you have my sympathy.

I haven’t seen any reports of American’s weather lately so I hope it is being kind to you and your family, here we have a hazy morning, the sort of Christmas morning to walk on the beach with a our small Agility Campion.

I hope all is well you and are ready to have a wonderful Christmas Day, and a great New Year ahead.
