Hope to Die in Books

Been reading this book like crazy. I hope to finish it this week. I am not one of those readers who can read a book in a day or 2. I do have a life. lol For those who don’t know what I am talking about Hope to Die by James Patterson, book 22 (I believe) of the famous Alex Cross series.

If you don’t want to know anything about this book I would recommend skipping this paragraph. The last book left off of his family being held by a mad man pretty much. He was sent pictures of his family members shot in the head, which turn out to be fake. The end of a book is where one of them might have escaped. The body was found in the latest book to believe to be his wife. Then another body was found to be his oldest son. They are not 100% they are who they think they are. I believe their are all still alive. Not believing that his wife and oldest son are dead.

I am also listening to the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson. A small series mainly for young teens. About young kids who have wings and other powers. Believe their real parents gave them up to be experimented on. Their also trying to get away from their creators. I find the whole story line very confusing and that he did not get deep details of the characters. Probably the worst I have read/listened to by James Patterson. I plan on finishing the series. I am not the on that walks away from a bad book. I’ll finish it to the end, even the series because you have to know how it ends.

Not sure I mentioned before by I am also reading the Mortal Instruments series. Since I seen the movie I decided to read the books. Their is so much missing from the first book that is not in the movie. Like Simon turning into a vampire....... Big deal if their going to continue with the books into movies but I am not sure they will? Not sure. I do no keep up with what books are going to become movies. Does anyone know?

I am really enjoying the series. I am on book 5 which is City of Lost Souls. I am currently reading Hope to Die but will return to this book afterwards. I plan on reading the Infernal Devices series and also The Dark Artifices and The Bane Chronicles.

The one thing I don’t like is the relationship between Clary and Jace. they like each other they don’t like each other. Their in love, their not in love. I wish the series would break away from their relationship a little bit more.

I have finished all but one book by Jo Nesbo. The library does not have a copy of Nemesis which is apart of the the Harry Hole series/ I will plan on reading this book but probably not anytime soon. Along with the Harry Hole series I have listened the the Headhunters and The Son. I did not care too much from Headhunters. A little bit of a let down. All the books are based on Oslo, Norway. I feel that you should mix up the towns on different books but all in Oslo.
