Billy Gilman is gay! :O in Stuff

I’m literally shaking in… disbelief? Excitement? AHHHH!! The singer I spend SO much of my childhood listening to, owning all his albums, and countless hours on hours on fan forums of when I was a child, released a video to his Youtube today, coming out.

I never would have thought it. Well, I did years ago, but I just pushed the thought aside. I was just scrolling through my news feed and literally gasped when I saw the headline and link.

I guess most people mightn’t even know who he is. He only had one hit song when he was 12. I was 15 at the time. So HALF the age I am now.

He says in the video he’s been dating a guy for 5 months, and in response to some other country singer coming out (who wasn’t even Steve Grand), he felt comfortable enough to come out himself.

Unreal!! It’s nearly 9am and I haven’t slept yet, and upon hearing this news, I don’t think I’ll be able to.

You don’t understand. I met my friend’s Sam and Tiffany through this singer, as they were both members on one of the forums also. Sam is the guy who actually helped me come out back when I was 15. Without him, I dunno where I’d be.
And Tiffany actually flew over from the USA, twice, first to meet me, then to study abroad, and we hung out then also.

The first time, she gave me a ‘Billyheads’ shirt that had travelled all over the USA to different members of the forum’s addresses and each of them had signed the shirt, then when Tiffany saw Billy perform live, he too signed the shirt and a CD for me. I still have the CD but I’m not sure where the shirt is, but I’m sure it’s around somewhere.
I remember her telling me that Billy said he couldn’t believe he had such a big fan in Australia.

If it wasn’t for Billy Gilman, I never would have met these beautiful people.

And now he’s GAY? :O WHA??
