Me being me I have forgotten the name plant, it was one of three flowering plants I bought for Sweetheart on our wedding anniversary in June, They all flowered well through summer, some where along the way the other two stopped flowering and have gone now!
In June and in its prime.
This plant has flowered every month since June, it is still flowering now, not quite as quickly now, but as you can see it has one bloom nearly ready to open – on 18th November; and there is two buds coming on! The blooms last just a few days now, back in summer they were out for a week or more; but its nice to see the blooms coming on so late in the year.
Still flowering well in to November, in side of course!
June to November our nameless plant!
Note. If you wish hard enough your friends come along with ‘the’ answerer, it’s a hibiscus, if they all grow like ours they are a remarkable plant …..

Lola’s midnight. I say Lola’s but looking back it is probably a Westies midnight story, all dogs spend time looking a certain spot, it just that with all our Westies have spend that extra ten minutes, rain just makes things worse; Ziggy is quietly better at several things over a Westie – but we don’t say that in her hearing!
Progress. More than 60% of advert time now is Christmas adverts, the way things are here I find this hard sell wrong, since the banks went feral and took our country to the edge, many peoples income has gone down, and our lovely tory party has made sure the pressure were on the wage-slave. Also they we very keen that the poorest felt the evicts of the turn down, as if they weren’t already; they never mentioned the fiscally obese ..
[said Pooh] A me being me moment, that little title started out [said Poo] I doubt Disney would have picketed up the quaint stories of a very English Bear caller Poo!
I wish ….. I’m afraid there will not be a six or twelve page calendar this year, but I hope to made a few one page calendar; its been that sort of a year –roll on 2015!
I do watch ‘Doc Martin’ now and then, but I’ve never got into watching regularly. We are all flowing a BBC series ‘The Missing’ it is half way through its eight episodes, on Wikipedia it started on the 15th of November on ‘Starz’ a comedy it isn’t, but it is compelling viewing. My Dad wouldn’t have liked it as the story, it is told in at the event and eight years after the event; Dad liked a story to run A to B. I think ‘Starz’ partly financed the series with the BBC and several European television stations; I’ve not said much of the story – not wanting to spoil ….
I’m writing this as waiting for the Tesco van to arrive with our groceries, then my Daughter and I are off to the cinema, at last we can see Mike Leigh’s biographical film ‘Mr Turner’ it covers the last twenty five years of the life of J.M. W. Turner. Timothy Spall a well known character actor here and it is he who play’s Joseph Mallord William Turner, one of our greater painters.
Here some are getting exited about the chance of a short stout actor [the disruption is Mike Leigh’s] getting an Oscar, also there are those who are backing one Benedict Cumberbatch; I think it might be nice to see short stout actor lifting the Oscar aloft …..
I may be back tonight …..

Do you know too that it's possible to keep the hibiscus during winter (inside) and getting it started flowering again?
