The NJ Restaurant Association promoted a Dine-Around event and for a 2 week period had some of the best restaurants offering a Prix Fe dinner menu for $30.14. During this period Doris and I hit four of the top tier places and three others at a $ 20.14 price. The Best value Saturday night also saved $ 25.00 for parking. We parked in the lot and had dinner than walked to the nearby Theatre and saw Spamalot. I had never seen it before but Doris had and told me I would love it. Liked it but not loved it.
Sunday when we woke up we went for breakfast and then I took her home. She was baby sitting from noon on for her grand kids. I was watching the disintegration of my NY Giants football team and was not a Happy Camper.
Today I had an inspection by the FEMA People of my house to move me closer to receiving funding for a Grant to raise my house. The two inspectors were very good and at the end told me that I was a prime candidate for the Grant.. It is past two years since Sandy hit and I am still waiting. Flood Insurance repaired my living quarters but they make you feel so much a beggar for insisting on receiving the money that I paid for by buying the Insurance. I have a Governor bragging about how he has gotten all this Federal Funding for Disaster Aid and I am still filling out forms for apply for the funding. I am not alone but the entire community is in the same boat including out Mayor who hopes to have her house finished and ready to move back into my Thanksgiving.
