I’m thinking about this somewhat at the moment. Have you ever notice how perfect a good song is. Sometimes even a bad song. They exist in a different world.
What sparks such delirious rambling? I’m not really sure. It’s more of a picture that’s built up over time. So many sing the songs, and pick the rhymes, and say the words, and yet nothing ever changes. You would think from the sheer desire of all those songs, we could have the world change. Poof. But no. Songs have only torch light to illuminate the world.
You hear the words alot
“The times are a changing”
“My generation” Now there’s one that goes on and on.
“Won’t get fooled again”
“Can’t change the way I think”
But what do they do? Do they inspire us to revolution. Do we topple dictatorships? Inspire us to show our parents/ family/ spouse/ any other swine that we cannot be ruled?
No. We go down into a very small bit, and wave our head about in an extremely energetic, but utterly futile manner. I mean, really. These songs are as bad as the systems they perport to hate? Are they giving them away? No. Are they telling us to come to a free concert? No. We buy them, have them packaged, sent to our front door, and we help them get nice and rich, so that the system doesn’t apply to them anymore.
These days, the only songs anyone buys for the revolution, have to have the work “fuck” in them. Otherwise, they aren’t alternative.
Does this strike anyone else as wrong? The entirity of the English language, and the word “fuck” is the only one used?

4 seconds on the net it took me to find phrases other then “fuck”. Says alot doesn’t it.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s a great word. It’s so multi functional. And this is the problem. The words become more and more important, and people forget what they mean. Bastard used to be able to get you barred from society. Now I hear it used as a term of endearment!
People just want music they can mosh to. The words don’t matter any more. And I think that’s sad.
