Yesterday was a good day.
After all the rain it was dry and sunny with no wind - the perfect day for a long walk, then coffee, and home.
In the afternoon concentrating on the crossword, and listening to Radio 3
Then having an excellent bought in food from the supermarket where you get a main course, side course and dessert for two for under £10. Not as good an offer as the M & S £10 meal which includes a bottle of wine - but it was worth it for the standard of food. Duck a l’orange as the main was superb - and we had out own bottle of Cono Sur Pinot Noir to have with it.
Then on to Strictly Come dancing from Blackpool in the Tower Ballroom.
About twenty odd years ago when I was tutoring on a course I spent an evening in the Tower Ballroom dancing away - and it was fantastic - sprung floor and lots of room.
In the picture you can see the Mighty Wurlitzer organ which comes up out of the stage - many the jokes about this!!!!!
The BBC go there for this Saturday because the studio they use in Elstree is taken over by Children in Need - and it is a fantastic occasion - and the quality of dancing last night was quite superb. It is about time Judy Murray got into the dance off, and lost, but I guess she has a following who keep voting for her. Anyone with I Player who can see the wonderful erotic Argentinian tango should see it.
Then over to BBC 4 for an Inspector Montabano episode - they are repeats - but who cares when you can enjoy the scenery, sunshine and language.
And so to bed.
and
And of course all the way through I was checking on PB - what a busy day!
