Fly me to the the ...meteor? in blackpropaganda

It is really amazing that the European Space Agency has been able to land a washing machine (well, a landing vehicle the size of a washing machine) on a meteor going at 34.000 miles an hour, at a distance of 300 million miles.
Actually I find it quite impossible to contemplate it. One billion pounds, and ten years from liftoff mission is accomplished - well, at least it landed.
But then it bounced since there is no gravity, and the harpoons to hold it down never fired - so they just hope it landed again able to send back data.

Actually the achievement is amazing anyway - and you can see the space scientists in Europe (and the newspapers) just having a sly smile at the problems with the US space operation.

Meanwhile on earth the big news is Kim Kardishian’s bum!!! At least that is tangible, can be seen all over the internet, and is most likely enhanced. Why bother? You can see my bum anytime.

And Obama is in China congratulating the Chinese government on their policies over climate change - and promising more from the US - you could not make that up.

And in India 16 women have died in the government sponsored attempt to restrict population by paying women to be sterilised - the rate should have been 35 a day - apparently 85 were done in 8 hours with little respect for hygiene.

Looks like we can get to a meteor travelling 300 million miles away but basic issues of life on earth are more difficult to sort out!

and for those who like this sort of thing
