Police everywhere! in Stuff

Having lived in Brisbane since 2002, it’s beyond strange for me to see so many police! I mean, I just left to go to gym before work, and they are literally ‘planted’ every 50 metres apart or so, 2 in each group. Even in my suburb, which is next to the city.
It’s kinda cool to see, but a little un-nerving. I’m at the gym now but I prob won’t get much of a workout done at all. I just want to leave enough time to get to work in case I’m ID checked. I’m still carrying my gym bag as it’s got all my stuff in it. I shall be leaving my knife at work tonight though for sure.
I got an email when I woke up informing me that the Joel Creasey gig has been postponed :( So that was disappointing. I was really looking forward to that on the public holiday tomorrow. Now I have to think of something else to do. It’s been rescheduled for MAY next year! Fuck that’s ages away! Of course, after looking into why, it’s been postponed due to the G20.
Fucking lame.
Now I’m thinking Mariah will prob cancel as well.
Trying to decide if I should get a refund for Joel or not. Its been rescheduled to a Saturday night, but who knows what I’ll be doing next year.
I saw same-sex marriages are now recognised in NSW from today, which is pretty cool. Meaning if Aussies marry overseas and return to live in NSW, their relationships will no longer be nulled.
Maybe it is time for me to move states and get out of this backward one. Maybe I should be applying for work interstate instead.
Work will prob be dead tonight. There’s barely anyone in the mall today. The media has scared everyone off.
Now there’s Russian warships sitting off Queensland waters lol.
Nothing intimidating about that AT ALL!
Pretty cool about that robot that landed on that huge-ass comet hey? Apparently it was launched in the 80’s?! It took 30 years? What stuns me is that they can establish radio contact with a robot that was made in the 80’s, and is reportedly 500-million kilometres away. Technology must have been way more impressive than i thought back in my birth decade.
I’d better get a move on. I’ll try working out after work instead.
