Singin' in the rain in blackpropaganda

Not really!
Tuesday afternoon is Nordic walking afternoon - and yesterday we were on one of the beaches on the coast. We had had an e mail urging members to turn up because a local restaurant and cafe was opening especially for us for tea and coffee. So 25 came - all kitted out for the weather - which was rain.
There was some hope it would be sporadic, but it got harder as we warmed up - and as we moved to the beach it continued to come down.
There should be no problem with a good anorak and overtrousers - but the rain tested both - for half an hour we walked into it - and the worst thing is how the rain runs off your anorak on to your trousers. let’s say the seams of my trousers were under pressure. Luckily the anorak was fine.
At least we had it behind us on the way back.
Just about everyone was wet somewhere - and all the cars had soggy clothing in as we made our way to the cafe which had a fire!!!
Actually there is nothing better to get the dry after walking for an hour in the rain - to chat, have coffee and scones - and look forward to next week.

Meanwhile a probe is going to attach itself to a meteor as I write - if they are lucky - I imagine it as a fly landing on an orange - such is my command of the intricacies of space research.
