"The space between us connects us" in open book

I recall sharing that quote in title recently and it seems appropriate now as well, also I really like it.
What I plan to write of today is our connections here on Prosebox because lately there are several regulars that seem to be missing. I do hope you are all okay. Once again I ask “Is it me being avoided or are they simply distracted by politics right now?’
I understand the latter but think its sad how many people are totally absorbing all the negativity even though all of it affects them personally. Surely in such difficult times it is the bonding together that helps get people through tough times! United we stand!
Things down here in NZ are crazy too, especially economically & politically, (not to mention the contrary weather) but I keep reminding myself to be thankful that we are not living in a war zone, or malnourished, homeless and bitterly cold in a famine, natural disasters or the aftermath of a warfare. And even if we were, at such times in the past people rallied together and supported each other, they would offer shelter, food and emotional support. This is not a time for individuals to isolate, it is a time for community building, as people did in past world wars. People supporting people....what a great example to teach the next generations as well as making a difference pro-actively now too.
That said, I am very aware of hardships myself, - In my past I have been homeless, I have felt alone, financially reached rock bottom, grieved for lost loved ones, and I continue to have major health issues. But I am alive and I have a loving family and some wonderful genuine friends. I have a strong faith that enables me to know my purpose and feel hope.
Sadly one of my close friends is currently in hospital recovering from open heart surgery, another old friend up on the island died suddenly two weeks ago, and my dearest friend Diane continues to rebuild her health and life expectancy after heart failure a year ago. I have other friends, and loved family members, who struggle with mental health issues. My point being that we are all hurting one way or another and during all this our beautiful planet is struggling too. This is a time to maintain connections, to share and support and nourish each other, in any small way we can.
So my dear Proseboxers, please come back here and say what you need to say, accept each other and lets work together to maintain some small sense of unity, with purposefulness and trust.
Thats my lot for today.....I do hope this is read widely, and if for some reason anyone is upset with me personally, I am sorry......I do care about each of you so please explain to me so I can change.
hugs p

I tend to read and not write lately . I have been distracted by politics. I fear for my country greatly, Donald Trump and his minions are the devil and I do not say that lightly .
Things have been crazy with my home life too. I definitely will get an entry written. PB is like coming home :-)
