2/24/25 - Up & Down Week in The Beginning

This week has just been a weird one filled with up and down emotions.
For the past month, I have submitted job application after application. I easily have submitted over 30, usually averaging 2 submissions per day. Most jobs never got back to me, some scheduled interviews but never called me, and then only two gave me an interview. The first interview in January I didn’t get and the last one this past Friday then never got back to me about.
I only have classes twice a week and I’m willing to work right after my classes are finished, plus the days I don’t have class and on weekends. All I want to do is work and get money and yet no job will hire me. So I’m pretty annoyed.
However, I did get accepted into a field school for this upcoming summer, which I am very excited and relived about. The whole process was around 6 months and I was a little worried I wasn’t going to be accepted as the school only had 20 positions opens and had over 100 applicants. So the fact that I out of around 100 was accepted, makes me feel good about myself.
I must be doing something right.

I’m also planning on getting back into reading tomorrow since I have no class and currently don’t have a job. I haven’t really read much over the last few months due to school, which depresses me. The only pleasure reading I’ve been doing are a few things from the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy page, but I have a few books in my dorm I’d like to break in. So, as long as the weather is nice tomorrow (it poured all day today), then I shall be reading most of tomorrow.
