I really need to get busy and DO STUFF. Like for example, write. I am doing better-than-my-usual at writing on Prosebox, but I have not had an essay published on Witchvox in AGES. I kinduv recently gotten an idea for one, but didn’t get inspired to actually write it.

Then, I have two major projects I have to do as part of my Second Degree work. One, a ritual to the Goddess Holda and a class about Her, and the other, a project and class on the Elements. I was excited about both, but as to actually WORKING ON THEM.....nuthin’ much. Mind you, the first one doesn’t have to be presented ‘til January 18th, but I don’t want to still be thinking “I should really work on that” come January 1st! I am just too damn busy is the thing. TOO. DAMN. BUSY.

Like for example: I had Friday off, so this was a three-day weekend. Once was a time when I would’ve gotten a helluva lot done on a three day weekend. But these are the things I got done:

On Friday I had a wonderful outing with my Sisters. We went to Spences’ Amish Market in Dover. We spent sooooo much time there, looking at every single thing! The best part was all the good Amish food inside! There are baked goods, and meats and cheeses, and a deli. And there are also cooked foods, which you can buy to take home or eat it there. Each of us selected a baked goodie to bring home, and we also had lunch there. YUMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!! It was sooooo good! The coconut custard filled donuts I brought home were absolutely heavenly, too. I don’t think I’ll ever want a Dunkin’ Donuts donut again. ;o) !!

On Saturday, Wendy came to visit in the morning, and going with Joe to his coven’s Samhain ritual took up ALL of the afternoon and evening. sigh But I am very glad I went! My coven’s was on Sunday. I liked his better. But let me think....what else did I do on Sunday? OOOOOH YES.....since I didn’t have to be at my covenstead ‘til noon, I trekked uptown to do the big grocery shopping, I got all the way home and discovered I had left m’damn purse in the shopping cart!! Oh dear gods!!!!! Just what I always wanted to do, turn around and go all the way back to town! But luckily, my purse (with everything intact) had been turned in at the store office. I was sooooo thankful!

Ugh, can you believe I am STILL writing this entry????? I don’t remember what day I started writing it. ANYHOW.....to heck with LAST weekend; now it is THIS weekend. And THIS weekend, neither Joe nor I have ANYTHING WE ARE OBLIGATED TO DO! Oh, joy and bliss!! So what other news do I have for you before I finally post this eternal entry?

Well, we were all sad yesterday evening. Ya know how Joey has been filling a temporary position at the school, replacing some guy who was out for a long time on medical leave? Everyone thought the guy was probably going to try to retire on disability. Everyone hoped Joey would get his job permanently. They men at work all hoped so. No one likes the other guy; he’s a real jerk. And they all really liked Joey’s work. Well....the other guy is coming back after all. So poor Joey. He, and we, were so disappointed. There is one guy who is retiring in April, but that’s a ways off. Joey feels like he’s back to square one, and he had really liked the job at school, too. I sure hope he applies, and gets hired, in April.

Wellllllllllllllll.....I guess that catches me up. I don’t even remember what-all I wrote about earlier! But I’m going to post this and wish you a HAPPY WEEKEND, my dear friends!

hugs and blessings,
Nicky

On Saturday, Wendy came over in the morning, and in the afternoon I trekked northward to attend Joe’s coven’s Samhain ritual.
