Wake me up before you go-go in My Unpredictable Life ...

Figured I better write in case I don't survive later today. Because I'm here to tell you it is going to be a doozy!
The Child has her volleyball tournament later today. Her first game starts at 10 am. If they lose, they play again at 12:15. If they win that, they play again at 1 pm. If they lose, we are done after the 12:15 game for the rest of the day. Which in my deepest, darkest part of my brain, I am rooting for that outcome. If they end up winning all of their games, their last one will be played at 4 pm for tournament championship. Which, since they are 2-4 for the season, I don't see them making 1st place. But regardless of how they play, I am going to be one tired, tired Sassy.
Getting off work at 7 am and then having to be at the Y by 9:30 am for warm ups is not going to be fun. Especially after the coach called me & said he would be running late and to please get the girls started on their warm ups till he got there. Oh joy.
So, in a nutshell, I get off work at 7 am. I will get to cat nap here and there in between games. The earliest I will make it to bed is roughly 1 - 1:30 pm. Worst case scenario is I won't see my bed before 5 pm. Oh and yes, I do have to be back to work at 11 pm tonight. May God have mercy on the souls of those stupid enough to cross my path (piss me off) today. I promise, it won't be pretty.
I was supposed to be doing family pictures Sunday. It has only been rescheduled 3 times already. Hopefully we will finally get them done on Monday afternoon. I'm really looking forward to getting behind my camera again!
I was finally able to get Shelia to switch with me on the 9th for work. It was touch and go there for a while. But I have succeeded. The Child will be spending the night at the local playhouse theater with her Girl Scout troop that night. We drop her off at 4 pm & don't pick her up till 11 am the next morning. Hubby and I will be celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary that night, even though our anniversary isn't till the 25th. We hardly ever celebrate them so it will be nice to be doing so this year. I have a BOGO free coupon for a local restaurant & then we will go see a movie. Don't know which one yet though. We'll figure it out soon enough. It feels weird to be making plans lol.
I haven't been sleeping better yet. It'll come one of these days. Possibly Sunday lol. I told Hubby I plan on coming home from work on Sunday morning and downing a big dose of Nyquil and I dare any of them to wake me up lol. I hate to resort to Nyquil but desperate times call for desperate measures. My body is wearing down and I know a good night's rest will make things better.
This day by day, step by step, seems to be getting easier. I still have my weak moments but those are to be expected. The heart palpitations aren't as frequent as they used to be. It could just be my thyroid acting up again though. I always get the palpitations and hair loss when my thyroid goes wonky. But then again, I get those symptoms when I'm stressed.
Heart palpitations are most often not serious. They can be due to:
• Anxiety, stress, panic attacks, or fear
• Caffeine and nicotine use
• Cocaine or other illegal drugs
• Diet pills
• Exercise
• Fever
However, some palpitations are due to an abnormal heart rhythm, which may be caused by:
• Heart disease
• Abnormal heart valve, such as mitral valve prolapse
• Abnormal blood levels of potassium
• Certain medications, including those used to treat asthma, high blood pressure, or heart problems
• Overactive thyroid
• Low levels of oxygen in your blood
Either way, this too shall pass ....
Think I'll call this an entry. Hopefully I will return. If you don't hear from me again you know I didn't survive the volleyball tournaments and lack of sleep or I ended up in jail over some stupid moron.
Till next time ....

I have heart palpitations all the time (though not as much now as it used to be), due to duel electrical pathways and a leaky valve.
I've not been sleeping well, either. I don't feel rested afterwards. I think I might have to break down and take something.
