Feel the squee in Bittersweet

Oof the holiday squeeze is rough this year. 
Christmas was fine. Quiet. My parents came into town a week ago. And we have been cooking for 2 extra adults. That was a strain. We didnt go "all out" for Christmas but spent around 1k on all those steaks then about 1k on Christmas gifts for everyone. 

The electric/solar grid had an issue and a line burned so our solar hasnt been working. We noticed two months ago our bills got more and yeah... Solar is close till the new year. Cry. So we cant get it fixed for a while. That sucks.

We had to magic up the money to get B home from Cali. That was a strain. 

But really its feeding two additional adults, Plus their electric because they are plugged into the power. And its not like they have money. They are here because they lost the job in Oregon. So They are looking. Also having a garage sale for a lot of really cool alaska native arts and crafts. Bones and ivory ect. Lots of childrens books and movies. There is some really cool stuff but its not going to be everyone's cup of tea for sure.  But they are trying to get some money. They even put their really expensive prints up for sale. They have walrus skin raincoats. Which is really cool! Sealskin boots. Whale ribs ( im snagging one of those to use as a plant hanger... because im a nut) It looks like a seahorse so maybe ill paint it and hang it in my bathroom. IDK. Its about 5 ft tall. 

We are going to be feeling the burn for a while. Once we add in B, Plus my parents and MIL in the house. Its going to be packed. Not only on space, but my parents do stay in their camper. But finically. Im grateful I make as much from scratch as I do. It helps. 

We cant do a damn thing for the electric bill in winter. 

Our shop did so well for Nov with black friday sales. And we ended up using that on bills and christmas and other stuff. But really we need a few extra thousand a month to make us feel more comfy.

Eh its fine. Its all fine.

We are still getting our little indulgences. My dr pepper zero and T gets energy drinks. We are fine. Really. But I hate the strain you know

Its my moms birthday. 
Im making her a cheesecake today. I made her a kitten pod for her kitty already and gave her a hat I knit she said she liked. She hates most hats because she gets too hot. This is loose and lacy. 

It will be allright... Its always allright.
