Pre-Parties in These Foolish Things

Greetings from a hotel room in my former city. I took some PTO days and I’ve been here for a couple of days already and need to update on all things going on lately.

There are two parties happening tonight: (1) Lovely Leah’s Annual Birthday/Christmas Party that she calls her “Birthmas”, and (2) Maria’s daughter’s BIG Black & White Party in the new palace.

I need to get up at start getting ready to head over to Lovely’s because she needs some help setting up and I will likely end up spending the night over there so I need to pack a bag too.

I will start the evening at Lovely’s and then take an Uber to Maria’s for a few hours and then end up back at Lovely’s - I’m sure it will be getting wild at that point.

It’s already been crazy as one of the girls, Chrissie, fell down while walking Lovely’s dog with Lovely, and BROKE her wrist! Before the party or even the pre-party got started!

We did have a pre-party at Lovely’s last night - it was kind of a rainy, drizzly evening, so we ordered ramen and then Barb and her husband came over and we talked the husband into driving us around the ritzy part of town to look at the Christmas lights. They are SPECTACULAR in this particular neighborhood.

I got home at midnight last night and I am NOT used to staying up/out that late! Even though I don’t drink anymore, any time I stay up late like that I feel super hungover. Took a good, long walk today and still don’t feel 100%, but I will RALLY! Tonight’s one of the biggest nights of the YEAR!

I am looking forward to wearing the outfit that will be accessorized with my Printerest Fail/Fix (haha!) floral brooch. I’m also looking forward to seeing what everyone else is wearing too! EVERYONE sounds excited and I hope to get tons of photos!

Okay, I better go for now. So much to catch up on! So much to do…but must shower first!
