Nov 15, 16, 17: The Last Supermoon in These Foolish Things

Gosh, I don’t know if I’ve ever missed two days in a row while trying to do a NoJoMo, but I appear to have done it.

Here’s the thing - apparently, we just had the most transformative Supermoon on Friday night and are astrologically going through an incredibly tumultuous time. It was the last Supermoon we’ll see until late 2025, and it was supposed to be the most powerful. Did you feel it?

One of the reasons I made such a big deal about this particular full moon is because when I did the wellness weekend last month, I took a class on the phases of the moon, and the woman teaching the class made a big deal about it, AND my boss, who is a big astro-fan, told us to pay particular attention during this time as issues could take us off guard.

I do feel a lot of upheaval happening in my life, and I’m really working to harness the power of manifestation. I have my tiny patio altar working, and I found the most amazing playlist on Spotify called “I Am a Badass” that I’m listening to.

I even told my parents about the moon and called them on Friday evening to remind them to spend a little time under the bright moon’s light. I’d just taken the dog for a walk in the moonlight (in an area that’s lit up and has a lot of people - I don’t walk her in the dark in secluded areas ever!), and as I was driving home, I put the top down on Chloe Car-dashian and had a moon bath! And then called mom and dad to tell them to go take a look at the moon.

Dad was like, OH YEAH! Let me go out and see, and he handed the phone to my mom. Mom is hard to talk to now (dementia gives her trouble getting words out), but I told her it was the last supermoon we’d see in almost a YEAR, and she said something to the effect of, “well, I won’t be around then” and I scratched my head and asked, “Why would you say that?” and she said something incoherent and my dad came back and grabbed the phone and we kept chatting, but ugh. That conversation has been on my mind all weekend.

In other weekend news, I follow a local influencer who takes these amazing small group trips with this tour company. They do a lot of Italy and France and some other locations and go off the beaten path. They stay in castles and unique lodging, and visit small artisan locations - designers, wineries, tiny cooking classes and bike tours, etc. and I’ve been thinking about maybe signing up for a small group tour.

Yesterday, this influencer had a little brunch reception at her house because the woman who runs the tours was in town, and I decided to go. It was a super small group, and one of the other women who showed up was someone I’d met at the wellness weekend last month! Fun! It was good to get out and have some girl time. AND they are having a raffle for someone to win a trip!

I’m sending this out into the universe - I really need to win this trip!

Okay, today I am off to do my monthly volunteer event. I’m headed back downtown to work with the thrift pop-up organization (where we set up a tiny thrift shop and open it up to the homeless population to grab whatever they want/need). I’m bringing some of my own donations today, I need to get ready.

Oh! I forgot to write about finishing my 75 Hard Style Challenge! I guess that will be an entry for another day!

Have a wonderful Sunday!
