Nov. 12: Discombobulated in These Foolish Things

I woke up late and it started my day off weird. I asked to cancel my weekly call to a vendor in China, and he was ok with that, but then I wasn’t productive at all.
I need to fix that tomorrow.
I am in the middle of what seems like 29578432 different projects and I need to get focused.
I just hung up from my almost-nightly phone call with my parents. They live in a SUPER Trumpy town, and both of my parents (registered Republicans) loathe fucking Trump, and my dad was making hilarious jokes about putting together their church’s plan for Advent (they are extremely connected to their church), saying he was going to give a political speech at one point. I can’t remember exactly how he put it, but it was so funny because they’re surrounded by these crazy Trumplicans and he knows how ridiculous it is.
And then he said something to the effect of, “well, we’ve done it before and we will live through the next four years…” and just him saying that made me feel really good about SO MANY things - mainly the fact that he’s determined to LIVE through the next four years.
Anyway, that’s all I have for today. I finally got my 12K steps in as I wrote the above paragraph (walking on my walking pad), so I’m going to hang up for today and check back in tomorrow when I’m much more focused.
Love,
GS

I'm ever hopeful.
Maybe the Jews in Germany were too.
Matt Gaetz... Attorney General.
I pray for my grandchildren.
