Today was a great day. I was able to sleep early last night so I was able to catch-up on some much-needed rest. While the duration is just somewhere in the lines of 7 hours, it still felt good. There were none of the bad 3 so I’m very thankful for that as well.
I decided to go out earlier in lieu of yesterday’s activities (or lack thereof). I went to the mall first to hear mass. The Gospel focused on two types of churchgoers: a. the rich ones that had plenty to give (but are only excess) vs b. the widow, despite just giving 2 coins, represented everything she had. The homily touched on this further - more is not necessarily better, and God does not depend on quantity, rather the quality.
Afterwards, I spent majority of my day catching up with a friend I haven’t seen in a couple months - we had plenty of stories (and laughter) to share. What I thought would just take 3 hours tops turned into 7. Not gonna lie, though, my tummy is full from all the eating.
Just like that, the weekend has come to a close. I’m not overly excited that I have to work again tomorrow, but one day at a time.
Overall rating for the day: 10/10
