OctoPhoMo Day 17: Headless or Footless
Footless....under protest.

After posting the entry Tuesday about sending the kids off to boarding school, I thought their shenanigans were done.
We were all sitting here, chilling, winding down and getting ready to go to bed.
River and I were on the couch, Albie on the entertainment center.
* Side thought: why must he lay in front of the tv right in front of the remote sensor? Every single time. I have to get my old ass up, walk to the tv, pick up his furry fupa, and point the remote at the tv. *

All of the sudden I hear a big crash in the bedroom.
At some point, Albie had left his perch and wandered into the bedroom. I went to investigate and found him on top of the chest of drawers (Chester drawers, lol) looking very sheepish.
Upon further investigation, I found this:

“Do I get to have ANYTHING without yall breaking it?!” I ask him.
He just looked at me, mewed, jumped down, and stalked out of the room.

Yes, she was only $8.99 at Hobby Lobby and, I think I even got her on sale, but I loved her so much. Ive had her forever. She used to sit on my kitchen window sill in the last house I lived in with my first husband.
Yeah, thats how long Ive had her.
I guess the bright side would be, it gave me a photo for this prompt. She is quite footless.
Ha…ha…har.

I might be able to fix her. I just need to get some super glue and a safer place to put her if she is fixable.

When things like this happen, I have so much guilt. All the things that my brother and I broke that belonged to my mom. One thing that sticks out is the crystal. She had this beautiful crystal cluster with several points shooting off. I dont know what its called but it was pretty.
I broke so many of those shoots off.
Why? Because I was an asshole child and I liked the way they broke.
I would like to replace it but at the same time, meh. I dont see her offering to repay the money she stole from me.
But, thats a different story that doesnt need to be gone into.

And this, dear reader, is why we cant have anything nice.
